On PowerPoint Presentations

How not to do them:

Dr. Lorraine Fisher-Katz commits every public presentation blunder and PowerPoint faux-pas known to man while addressing a group of young undergraduates in Boston…before it is revealed that she is an actress hired by their professor to highlight the importance of good presentation skills. Sadly, there remain serious people in the business world who would benefit enormously from sitting through this short “workshop”.

A masterpiece in Comic Sans Serif.

A great example of what not to do… I love the students reaction when they realise that they have been “had”. Engineers and IT professionals are some of the worst presentation offenders of what the actress did based upon the range of students I teach at the http://www.PublicSpeakingSkillsUniversity.com they believe that EVERYTHING needs to be included on a slide, and because of their career interest they want to fully leverage technology

Thanks for the response and the insight! My background is in management consulting and it is amazing to see how many people who deal in PowerPoint on a daily basis still manage to misuse it so wildly. Fortunately, I had good teachers at university and learned to avoid most of these pitfalls…but nobody is perfect and I cannot claim to be totally immune to them!
