Touche! But the racism arguably causes more immediate damage and needs to be addressed by everyone. Demonising the people most likely to stand up against it sends an implicit message that it is actually kind of ok.
It was refreshing to get back to my roots at the weekend and talk to family members who marched against apartheid, whose brothers fought against Franco in Spain, and who have worked all their lives to help people in greater need than them, in spite of having next to nothing. Principled, progressive, socialist working class people are almost entirely absent from the media and blogosphere at the moment.
